I change my mobile once in a blue moon, if I was to put a figure on it I would say once every 2 to 3 years. So changing phones is a big thing and not an easy decision to make.
After a month of reading reviews, walking in and out of phone shops. I finally decided, meet the Samsung SGH-D900 Ultra Edition (12.9) to give it’s full name.

If you’ve read my Fame Academy post then you’ll know what I am going on about here. If not go and read it!
Many people have asked me about the presenters microphones, shiny and bling they say.
Well in recent years like so many other things Radio microphones have turned in to a fashion statement, the alta ego of the person using them if you like. I remember when I was at the Brit Awards in 2001 and Eminem performed using his platinum Sennheiser radio microphone reputed to have cost over £20,000 (~$40000) each (he had a spare as well!). It has been a busy few weeks at work preparing and getting ready equipment for the BBC’s Comic Relief does Fame Academy. This is the first time we have supplied equipment for this particular show.
Fame Academy is the BBC’s attempt at reality TV. The concept is a cross between X Factor and Big Brother, where we spy watch ’students’ living with some of there time taken up by musical training and other various related activities. This is then followed up by a TV show where each ’student’ struts their stuff before being ridiculed by the resident … (more…)

Here in the UK, the last few weeks the press have been busy debating the government proposals for the replacement to Britain’s nuclear deterrent - Trident.
Most of the stories have been the headline grabbing sort where the facts and figures are molded to produce a reaction or in some quarters a rise! Government clearly want to go ahead with this regardless of public opinion, judging by the columns printed in the populist newspapers it has been decided that the great British public rather have the money spent on new hospitals.

These are Future Sonics latest consumer canal earphones, branded for sale by XtremeMac. As consumer earphones go at approx. £65 (~$150) these are not cheap but are they worth your hard earned cash?
